Youth Court Awards

Best Solo Performance: Estefan Recio: He won this price because of his winderful acting skills and his fluid english. Best Group Performance: Landaeta's group: All the actors where prepared, with props and with a full knlowedge of their scripts. Best Case: Ljubetic's case: The case was way to good, they used every offence they could use. Best Sentence: Bozzolo's group: They used a very strict sentence, never play videogames... that is a hard sentence. Best Evidence: Ljubetic's group: Using the video was crtical to make such a good role play. Best Scenery: Troncoso's group: They were the only group that used different scenery. Best Outfit: Rodrigo Vallejo: He came with this robe and his gavel, this gave him the looking of a real judge. Self Evaluation: I think I did a great job with the outfit and my speech, but I also think that I have to move more on stage because, in my opinion, I don't even move.

Say No To Drugs

It was a cold drak night and Mark was walking down the street, he was with a new drug in his blood. It was a trong drug and maked you do things that you will never do if you didn't have this drug. After walking fir a while he went into an alley and found a girl that was 21 years old. Mark sexuAlly harassed this woman, raped her and then killed her with a knife that he was caring that night. He woke up next morning with someone knocking the door, Mark didn't remember anything so he opened the door right away and in a matter of seconds he was handcuffed and sorrounded by the police. They took him ti the court. They arrived to the criminal court, there the prosecutor told all the case and brought a witness, an old lady, that saw everything. She exagerated the crime but Mark didn't knew this. The judge only nodded and played with his gavel. The prosecutor stood up and gave all his arguments. Using pathos, logos and ethos. It was turn of the defence but the only thing he could do was to loser the sentece against those powerful arguments from the prosecutor. Death penalty was his sentence.

New York City, touristic city

New York is a great place to be in, it's a very interesting place, is a good place to hang out with some friends, although there are always many phonies. You can found many things and turistic places, theres is the Central Park, a green area in middle of the city, there are many things in there, you can go birding, boating, and many other things. There's also a lagoon with ducks in it, where they go at Winter? If you like ice skating there are two rinks in Central Park, Wollman rink and Lasker rink, if you like animals the Central Park Zoo you'll have to visit. New York City has many touristic places, such as the famous Statue of Liberty, the Empire State building, the Rockefeller Center, Time Square, some museums such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 50 million people go to New York City in the year so you must take your time if you want to go there, the sport events take over the place and make it even more full, the NFL, NBA, MLS, NHL are the most seen sports in there and there is also the marathon, the longest in the world, and the U.S. Open in tennis. There are some food stands in the place, the classic hot dog is sold there and also kebabs, brought by arabians, and pretzels also, so you'll not die of hunger. New York City is one of the most visited places, and you can find many interesting things, so, what are you waiting for?

Summary Of This Week

Before this whole thing of modernism I knew who was Igor Stravinski, the russian compositor, he used atonalism and serialism to make all his music; I also knew who was Claude Debusy, french compositor, and what was modernism but only in music. I learned how and when was modernism in art, architecture, and the definition. Beign different is what modernism is all about, such as Holden in the Catcher in the Rye, always trying to be different from the rest and making everyone look like phonies. I'll need to review everything that has to do with the definition, I don't understand it very well, and I'll need also yo investigate a little more about The Catcher in the Rye and modernism, so I can make some new connections.

Letter for Jane Gallagher

Dear Jane, How are you doing?, it's been a long time since the last time we met, there are many things that i want to tell you, so we can say that that is the main point of this letter. First, I have been expelled from Pencey prep., those phonies gave me the axe, I failed also History with a very interesting essay of the Egyptians, I just told what I could and say that I knew I was flunking and all. I passed English, I'm a great writer I think. Later that day that phonie called Stradlater told me to write an essay for English for him, so I did but he didn't liked it and after some discussion he gave me a beat down and probably he broke my nose. I have one big doubt, something happened between you and Stradlater? Reading Comprehension "The Catcher in the Rye"

1) How does the narrator feel? He feels that he's not part of the society, he's not very comfortable with the school, his brother, his parents. "... Now he's in Hollywood, D.B., being a prostitute..." In this phrase Holden says that he's not very positive with the society and what is thi making to D.B., his brother. he says that he's being a prostitute, in other words he`s selling himself to the system. (THE LESSON OF THIS IS NEVER TRUST THE SYSTEM) 2)What does the conversation between Holden and Mr Spence symbolize? Symbolizes what Holden thinks about his future "...I feel some concern for my future, all right. Sure. Sure, I do. But not too much, I guess..." This conversation with Mr Spencer made Holden think about his future, and old Spencer says that he will, very suspcious in my opinion, and Holden says that that answer made him depressed, he also says that sounds like he was going to die or something, suspicious....

Detail Explaniation of the techniques used

The techniques we used are:
Celebrities to make people want to go to the club and be with their idol and train with him, "The club will be adressed by the Ufc Heavyweight actual champion Cain Velasquez".
 We used problem/benefit to make people be interested if they have this problem, "This club will train you and also, if you are good at the sport, you will be able to fight against other people from other schools to improve the fighting experience." and we used this technique using the problem with the charity problems of people and church saying that if they come they will help the church and poor people, "7% of the money will go to charity cases and 3% to the church." and we used it a third time in our posterusing the problem of injuries and the benefit that we pay if something happens, "Every injury that happens in the class will be responsability of the owners of the club.".

Description of Advertising Campaign

 Our campaign makes people be informed of the new academy that Pablo and I created. The public that is referred is boys from 14 to 16 years old to make it more equalized and we're trying to make a club for younger boys but not in the begining so if you you're not 14 years old just wait, we'll try our best to do another club. We're trying to make people join our club and have a good time and make people know about other sports that are not common, like football or rugby, and make them be informed about this kind of sports. We used print media (the pamphlet), internet (the glogster), and broadcast media (podcast). 1) Decreases the popularity if the film industry.
2) Television affects the film industry since movies and showas appear on the TV and radio uses recorded music that before was bought from the music store, but they could help if they promote the fil industry and the records industry.
3) Because it shows what used to be in records and films. The internet stopped almost completly because you can connect now to internet and search for it.
4) That the proffesional needs a lot of time to produce good fims, and amateur requires less time. The proffesional tries to make it comfortable to the audience and the amateur not neccesarly, but this can change, making the amateur longer, more comfortable.

Anecdote

  I was a 13 year old kid that lived in a house in the west coast of Chile, Concon. It was a cold night and i was playing "League of Legends" when some weird noise was heared in my house, but only I heard it. I finished the game and went down to my bedroom and tried to sleep. But i cant, that sound was still there, a very sharp chirp that wasn't ending. I hid under my sheets and wait.
 Time passed and when I thought it was a blinding light appeared for a second a when it dissapeared it was 10 A.m. of the next day.
 That day I looked outside and saw that the rose plant that was there was completly destroyed, by the way the plante never grew up again, but no one noticed that it was something unussual, they thought it was normal, maybe no one watered the plant in days and I didn't looked outside all that days, but I have my doubts about that day.
 That sound appears some night but without the light or the light appears but not the sound, but the night passes normally and I wake up normally. I'm getting used to it...
